While Manny needed to go, I think it was disgraceful the way it was handled. Fine to go after someone employed by another school but this man should have been told he was going to be dismissed weeks ago. It's like you are dirty water and now we have clean so you are gone.
Secondly, I am sure MC will be a popular hire but once again, a national search was not done in favor of a targeted hire .And as far as I know a new AD is not in place. If it's the guy from Clemson maybe he would have brought Venables. Was Fickell approached. Where is Sam Jankovitz when he is needed.
I hope and pray that this is the right move and that the program returns to a preeminent status.
