If we do hire a new head coach and I presume the NCAA dead period ends the 2nd week of January ,it doesnt give a coach much time to save the recruiting class and sign some good portal athletes. So lets say we sign a new coach in mid December ,what is he if anything allowed to do re recruiting or the portal? If the answer is not much then it doesnt make sense to rush into a coach hiring decision. The only advantage in hiring a coach in December is that he could announce who his coordinators will be so they can be ready to save some recruits. Am I wrong here?
