Are all mere shells of their former selves. USC and Miami are similar as to coaching carousel and venue for recruiting. A large number of local kids in SoCal and SoFl want to leave town to play college ball and see new places and compete with a winner. The landscape has changed and these schools have fallen behind. Coaching and recruiting is more than just local. Need national presence to compete.
