Gain of function research gone wrong has potentially far more severe potential for harm to society than Trump tweeting about broken pipes in an Atlanta election center. Let's put aside the possibility of bad people gaining a biological weapon. At best it is looking more and more like Covid was probably the result of an "oopsie" with Fauci supported gain of function research at the Wuhan lab. That is Millions of deaths world wide. Should the US be funding testing combining the easy spread of the common cold with say the morbidity of Ebola? I understand that you do not like that source. But if you were to take the time to read the article, NIH Principal Deputy Director Lawrence A Tabak refutes Fauci's on the record statements to Congress about funding of gain of function research. You can be mad at The Post for reporting it, be mad at Senator Rand Paul for exposing Fauci's lies to Congress, but your choice of reading material does not change the facts that are coming out.

The article from the Daily Mail is a very well researched and detailed piece. I realize you don't want to believe anything that publication writes. But again, if you would read the article you will see with your own eyes pictures and documents. Many of these documents were obtained by use of the Freedom of Information act. You can see for yourself that Fauci will be put in front of Congress November 19th. You can read Congresswoman Nancy Mace's letter yourself. Because your chosen sources of information have not published the pictures, documents and other facts does not make them any less true.

If you don't know he got an email from Dr. Anderson at Scripps warning him that the virus looked man made, which he then pressured them to reverse, you are uninformed. Very clearly, we live in different countries. The latest polling on Fauci that I could find concludes that 68% of Americans trust Dr. Fauci‘s advice on the pandemic. I’m in that camp.

Support for Fauci skews heavily Democratic, 80%+, and falls off dramatically among Republicans. I’m guessing with some confidence that Mahb, 17, and NoShore are in that camp.

Great perspective within your post. Fauci loves to take the glory of the "Doctor Card", but does he live by its responsibilities? For all the "follow the science" rhetoric from the democrat party I see very little true scientific questioning and study. Rather a dogmatic "because we said so - don't question us" presentation.
