Parler wasn't "shut down" - they simply lost their ability to operate on Amazon Web Services once it was revealed the site is basically a meeting point for racists, insurrectionists, and various other bottom feeders. Parler could in theory just switch hosts, but that will be difficult now because everyone knows that they are little more than a platform where really bad people plot nefarious things.
The Facebook comparison doesn't work because they don't require Amazon to stay online and they also took quick action to self-regulate themselves when it was revealed Trump was using them to foment division and violence. The same applies to Twitter, YouTube, and all the others.

Parlor was one of the hottest apps on all platforms, particularly for people who didn’t agree with suppression of conservative views.

That is the primary purpose for the existence of Gab and Parler - to cater to people who exhibit racist views, while of course claiming they are merely patriotic conservatives. When you compound that with these people using the platforms to foment violent, terrorist acts then you are just asking for other services (like Amazon Web Services) that these platforms rely on, to pull out. Amazon obviously can't be seen as enabling racism or terrorism.
