Pete Buttigieg the new transportation Secretary interviewed yesterday says that as more electric vehicles are used gas tax revenue going down so his idea is a "MILES DRIVEN TAX" That's right. A recording notification device in your car to let the Government know where you travelled to so they can TAX the miles driven. Our new Country is going to be GREAT!!

It will suck. There are privacy concerns, it would be a very regressive tax affecting low and middle income people far worse as they are least likely to be able to afford an electric or hybrid vehicle. Another dumb plan.

I’ve always been a huge fan of the electric vehicle credit. I love policies that make it easy for someone who can afford a $100k vehicle to save an extra 10% because of govt incentives.

Being rich is great. Poor, not so much.
