Great job getting some of the players to talk about the team by the canesport staff.

It seems they have the right perspective but more importantly I like the fact that they took some ownership. The main thing I have said and will always say is this team is not to be divided. The players and coaches are one. They win as a team and they lose as a team. That is what it is all about. You don't divide coaches and players because when I watch games I see mistakes by both.

I am not blaming a coach for a strip or a fumble or a dropped touchdown. I'm sorry. They are trained and have to find it within themselves to take their training to the field. No that doesn't excuse a lot of the coaching errors that cost games too. I am referring to special teams in particular. I also killed coaches for the game plan vs Louisville in the opener. They opened things up for Brad after that which great....and some could argue opened things up too much.

The defense wasn't deep enough. That is on the coaches. People talk scheme but the scheme is really based on a players ability to execute it. The coaches get the part of the blame where they missed on too many players. However, players out there trying to do too much that isn't their assignment get their share too.

This is the ultimate team game and coaches and players are never to be divided by me. I think we will have some new leadership so I am anxious to see how they lead.

I am pleased with Howard. He has taken on a leadership role. He didn't whine or transfer. He is there trying to win. Kaaya is Kaaya. Mature beyond his years. If we get him a dynamic running game look out. I can see that developing with Yearby, Gus, and Walton.

Nobody knows how this story shakes out but I am in their corner %100 percent!
