Chicago has had 2500 shootings this year and 405 deaths from shootings. Maybe that wouldn't have been so incredible if thousands hadn't been released from Cook County jail.
Almost half of covid deaths occurred in nursing homes, shortening most lives by days or months not years. Many of those can be blamed on politicians in NY and IL that FORCED nursey homes to take infected patients back - killing many more as a result.
The likelihood of death as a result of covid is almost identical to mortality rates by age.
Currently the overall weekly death rate in the US is no different than it has been on average for the past 5 years. In contrast, in April 20k more people were dyeing each week. Covid ended in June.
