The vaccine is not 100% effective!! Therefore, some who are vaccinated will get the virus thus able to transmit it. That's why mask wearing is recommended. Stop posting on this subject when it's obvious you have no clue what you're talking about.
Michael Osterholm knows what he's talking about as the Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. "I wish we could get rid of the term masking because, in fact, it implies that anything you put in front of your face works, and if I could add just a nuance to that which hopefully doesn't add more confusion is we know today that many of the face coverings that people wear are not very effective in reducing any of the virus movement in or out."
Suffice to say N95 masks are the best protection. However, I didn't see Mr. Osterholm refute the benefit of wearing a mask albeit small as it maybe.
But he definitely refuted the effectiveness of the face diapers that most are wearing, like many, including the esteemed Dr Fauci, were saying from the beginning.
You seem to get pleasure out of down playing any means of protecting us from spreading the virus. Do you support getting the vaccine?

Not a vaccine hater. Anyone that wants one can and should get one. Those that choose not to are doing so based on the fact that less than .5% of those that get Covid will die from it. Will we mandate flu vaccines in the future?

What would the numbers be for the flu without a vaccine? How does the flu's death rate among those under the age of 21 compare to covid? Wouldn't a vaccine mandate for the flu save many lives? I thought mandates were ok with your side if it saves even one life? The lack of concern by you and others for all those that die from the flu each year is very telling. What happened to being good citizens and looking out for your fellow Americans?
Being a good citizen means upholding the constitution which your side has refused to do.
Funny, all I've heard for the last year and a half is that a good citizen will do their part to keep everyone protected no matter what rights they give up to do so. I say we just wear masks year round and mandate vaccines for every virus there is, even those with less than a .5% mortality rate.
Do any of those countries follow the US Constitution? It must suck to know you've been lied to about masks for so long. Explain why Fauci, who has been studying infectious diseases for most of his adult life, say last Feb that masks are a waste of time when dealing with a virus like Covid? Did a bunch of new studies about masks come out in the few months it took for him to reverse course on mask effectiveness?
