This is a sad story: authorities say former UF RB Chris Johnson died Friday morning in suburban Pittsburgh from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police found him inside a car. He was only 22.
Johnson last played for the Gates in their 2013 Sugar Bowl loss to Louisville and he was ejected in the 2nd half when he threw a punch after an onside kick. He transferred to Duquesne where he just completed his senior year playing DB.
Johnson attended Ocala's Trinity Catholic HS and his former DC said when he tweeted Johnson last Wednesday his former player's responses were positive.
Obviously, things were not so great for the young man. May he R.I.P.
