Think about the IMMEDIATE impact someone like Mario and a solid staff can do in recruiting. That to me is the biggest thing here. It's completely rebuilding the culture, rebuidling the mentality, and rebuilding the standards for excellence.
To me, it is EXACLY like when Butch came from the Cowboys right as were getting hit with Pell Grant sanctions. The Erickson culture was a disfunctional cesspool of shitf**kery, and Butch and Paul Dee had to completely reboot in an elite way. Mario and the new AD (Radakovich or whoever) are effectively in the same boat 25 years later.
