Hosts Chris Spatola and Roddy Jones discussed the Mario to Miami story for about 30 minutes during their 3 pm - 6 pm (I think) ACC Today show Monday on SiriusXM ACC channel 371.
Lowlights:
* Manny got a raw deal and deserved another year
* Mario owes Manny a phone call (huh???)
* Very negative on Mario’s coaching record and Ls etc
* Hiring Mario was a “desperation” move by Miami
* UM guilty of conducting AD search in public
* Media fave slam: UM’s conduct “reprehensible”
* If Mario has success, Manny deserves a mention
There was more but U get the drift. I was ready to throw my phone at the wall. How do these guys warrant a paycheck?
Regarding the last bullet point:
As far as I know the UM admin did not conduct the AD search nor HC search in public. They said nothing and the information void was filled by misinformation from the BOT (we’re told), news media and a bunch of social media wannabes.
It may be a pro-ACC network but I was astonished at the anti-UM tone. If U can access the show in the archive or via search, go to the 5 pm hour.
Before U do, better take a blood pressure pill and try not to throw your phone.
