Miami should only fire a HC when they have a dead lock cinch hire ready to say yes.

And the evidence to support this is schools who may have fired a coach and hired someone who was not their first choice. Or the fact that some schools have had to make multiple changes over the past decade.

Uh so what? So Florida should have kept Dan Mullen or Jim McElwain or Ron Zook to avoid being accused of changing coaches for changing coaches sake?

LSU should have held on to Les Miles because his replacement Ed Orgeron was fired recently?

I'll tell you what I'll take my chances on firing Manny and go with whoever is his replacement. Will it work out? Hopefully but this idea that because you cannot guarantee the future in the next coach means you keep the current coach is nonsense.
