The QB prospects are a lot better now than they were at this time last year. We have an established QB with star potential in Kaaya, an athletically gifted QB with a strong arm in Rosier, and a true Freshman whose highlights look a lot better than his star ranking in Sherriffs. If Kaaya is injured, however, we are probably totally screwed.

Kaaya-He could be much improved from last year, but it might not show. He lost his three top receivers and the OL could take a big step backwards. Can he increase his pocket presence and even take advantage of running opportunities when they are wide open? Will he add the long sideline pass to his repertoire? Can he become far more accurate when he has to pass while running (something he was terrible at last year)? Its tough to have success depend so much on one player. I don't expect greatness this year, but I think it is reasonable to expect that he will be very good.

Rosier-Last year Coley said that they were planning a special offensive package to take advantage of Rosier's talents. It never materialized. He said the same thing this year. We'll see. I suspect Kaaya will never come out of the game as long as its in doubt. Its a shame that Rosier got no playing experience last year. I think he is no where near the polished QB that Kaaya is. If he were thrown into action because of injury they would really have to play a very different offense. I wonder if the coaching staff has that kind of flexibility.

Sherriffs-This is what I get from his highlights: He is tall; he looks pretty athletic; he has a good arm. It is highly unlikely that he will be ready for prime time this year.

Sherriffs-
