Final Update:

What a season-ending collapse.

We Take a 3-2 lead into the top of the 9th with Walters on the mound to finish them off. We get 2 straight K’s and then…

Piteli makes a throwing error to 1st…
WP sends the runner to 2nd…
They are down to their last strike and we hit the batter
Runners at 1st and 2nd…still 2 outs…
Batter down to his last strike hits a 2 run double
That gives AZ a 4-3 lead…that double to the RCF gap was exact same as the Ole Miss batter had in previous game to give them the 2-1 lead in the 7th to win.

In the bottom of the 9th…
Garcia with a PH single to RF on a 1-2 count…clutch
WP sends him to 2nd with no outs
Top of Our Order
Kayfus deep FO to CF…Garcia tags up at 3rd…1 out
Gutierrez PH for Villegas strikes out on ball 4
2 outs
Morales intentionally walked…steals 2nd..
Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs
Gonzalez on 0-2 count GO 6 to 3 to end it.

Just like the end of the Ole Miss game…we get the tying run in scoring position…in the late game…tying and winning run…but as was the case all day and night…we couldn’t get a clutch hit
unless Morales was at the plate.

Final: Arizona rises from the dead to win 4-3 after we hand the game to them on a silver platter.

Season over, Caniacs. We blow late leads in both games today.

Thanks for all your support during the season. Have a great summer.

Go Canes!

Hello, Caniacs...

First things, first...I cannot cover this 2nd game...been a long day already but I'm setting up this game thread in hopes someone can provide scoring updates.

A big thank U to anyone who can help...

Well, that was a very tough loss to ole Miss...now what? How will our team respond? The Wildcats have had some 6 hours to rest up. But we're just coming off a game
so who has the advantage???

Pretty simple scenario...win or go home...for the season...I hope enough of our fans hang around to cheer our Canes on.

Game should start around 7:45 pm...

BTW, if we win...that knocks Arizona out...and we play Ole Miss Monday at 1 pm...to move on to the supers...we'll have to beat them 2 straight which means starting tonight...we have to win 3 straight!
