- On the coaching staff was JJ, Gary Stevens, Wannstedt, Butch, Tubberville, Orgeron, Tony Wise, Dave Campo, Solinger, Kehoe, etc.
- And the only blemish was a bs Cleveland Gary call (which would have been overturned today) at Notre Dame, who ended up undefeated
- Team was stacked on both sides of the ball plus Huerta as kicker
- DT's were Cortez Kennedy and Russell Maryland
- Back when we had a real schedule...FSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, Missouri, ND, Cincy, East Carolina, Tulsa, LSU, Arkansas, BYU, Nebraska
Surprisingly (but not to me) the 1988 team is ranked as the #2 UM team of all time in some computers and did not even win the title
