This crap is getting out of hand! This is a big state. They talking about the rednecks in East Texas? austin is nearly as liberal as San Francisco! I live down the road in San Antonio and this is military country. Check out the number of bases. You don't find many atheists or racists in a "fox-hole"! That's the mentality Here!

Man it ain't about liberals or conservatives, at the end of the day you just got some ****ed up people in our country that didn't get raised correctly or didn't get enough ass whippings or just feel entitled point blank, some of them reside on this board

Wtf is this all about? What's wrong with Texas? As Davy Crockett said "I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as soon as I could"'Remember The Alamo" !

Easy there cowboy....
It doesn't matter where you live now. If you are a Christian, a patriot who believes in America or believes in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights, especially the 2nd amendment. You are considered a racist, a hater, a red neck or a domestic extremist and terrorist.

I think most of the racism issues came up here regarding TEXAS when it came to talking about the Boosters, board members, super rich oil money alumni and others who would be considered the "good old boys network" that had the power (or thought they did) to force issues. I think the common thought of many people is that this "good ol' boys network" is likely racist. I was hearing that directly from UT fans I know who live in Dallas, etc. I don't think that same sentiment filters down to the general population of citizens.

You seem so Jim Crowish or just really really shallow or uninformed, at the end of the day if you feel your superior than any other man based off social status race or creed than yes you are racist and prejudice and a coward and that's not a one race issue that's a country issue its no wonder we are hated mostly everywhere. I deploy a lot and people really can't stand Americans sure we find some good people everywhere but most country locals can't stand our asses and it sucks because I'm pretty darn sure the people who think like you ruined it for me and my comrades

That to my understanding is a very accurate assessment. One booster, Red McCloud, owns half a dozen car dealerships and is a billionaire, along with 4-5 other billionaires who are in the oil business and one attorney, are referred to collectively as "the billionaire boys club". McCloud went ballistic when he was informed of the Charley Strong hire and he did all he could to have it stopped. He has been a vocal anti CS individual and since he is so strong socially in the community he has made it difficult for CS on a personal level.

CS has the support of the president and administration of UT. The fan base was 50/50 after this season with the horrible record. But the admin gave him $$ for a new OC, and it sure looks like the boosters supported his recruiting efforts!! I expect CS will have a very good 2016 and will be at UT until he decides he wants to leave. The UT fans aren't racist as a group .. but Red McCloud certainly seems to be.
