Walgreens has decided to shut down it's 10 stores in and around San Francisco due to FAILED liberal policies. The HARM done to these communities is by FAILED LIBERAL POLICIES! In this case it is the California policy that allows a person to STEAL up to $1000 in goods without prosecution. The store is helpless. Walgreens simply can not withstand the amount of theft they are being forced to eat on a daily basis. This is yet another example of MORONIC policies by the WOKE LEFT. Bye Walgreens.

I’m a centrist, which means you must be pretty far in right field to think I’m a lefty.

On this issue, who cares? There is crime all over the place and singling out one city because a drugstore chain is leaving is a bizarre hill to die on. It’s a local problem that needs to be dealt with by the authorities there, not by a gaggle of grandpas on a college football forum.

I'm an in the middle guy who leans right on some things. You don't think it's wrong to allow people to steal up to 1k without prosecuting?

If you steal you should be held accountable for your actions.

Walgreens leaving does no good for anyone.

The other part of that response is that is amazing is where they state that Walgreens has a "responsibility to the community". What so many people think is that a business exists to provide a job for them and a service to the community. The only reason any business exists is to make a profit! Jobs are a by product of existing to make a profit. To think Walgreens owes anything to the community that won't support them to operate safely and profitably is a joke.

The irony is that Walgreens and companies like them, do many community outreach programs including free antibiotics, low cost prescription drug programs for low income, vaccine programs just to name a few.

i can't believe there's a law that let's people get away with that.

i get that they shouldn't get jail time, but at no point should it be ok to steal. if it's a kid it's 1 thing, if it's a grown adult i have problems with that.

They didn't give up on a city, it was a metro having a population of 5-6 million. If you think others will come in to fill the void, think again. Why would any chain expect to get a fair return on investment when Walgreens can't. So what we have here is honest citizens now having to experience more difficulty securing their needs for goods and services.

Now of course , crooked Joe is back tracking on his border policy and basically reports are that he’s implementing Trumps plan- but of course with new terms like “fill in the gaps” instead of build the wall .

No they won’t be replaced by CVS, or any other similar store without some assurance that laws will change that anyone who walks out the door with less than $1000 in cosmetics won’t be charged. That’s the current law. However, you and your ilk will be the first to complain that adequate health care providers are not there to fill prescriptions, administer vaccines etc.
