Several differences between Mario and Lane, but probably the biggest one is the one that benefits the U the most- If successful, Lane bolts in 3-4 years, Mario stays. We always wondered what "could have been" if Howard or Jimmy had stayed. It's all speculation, but Mario's "homeboy " status will probably give us a long-term run at greatness. Lane would probably parlay his success into an NFL situation. And biggest difference 1A- Mario will produce a fantastic OL.
