They aren't concerned, don't care really. Never did regardless of the lies they spew. It's a trick, a RUSE, a fake out.
They are thrilled. It plays right into their hand.
High gas prices, lots of pain, will get worse.
I bet they are laughing behind closed doors.
They don't care about the pain because for them they believe this pushes people towards electric cars.
Senator Manchin grilled the Interior Secretary during testimony before the Senate yesterday on her part of the budget. It said right in her submitted paperwork no more leases, no more drilling. He called her out on it big time.
They really believe that this PAIN is warranted and needed to get what they want.
A movement was already in place towards electric cars. It doesn't need Government assistance. It doesn't require this level of pain.
Because of their callousness all shipping, trucking, cargo, are all higher and driving up costs on everything we buy and need.
But they don't care................because their AGENDA comes first.

Yes, electric vehicles are clearly the wave of the future. I'm about to buy one myself. On calculation, it costs $6 to "fill up the tank" on an electric, compared to about $70 with gasoline. Its a no brainer to make the swtich.

this is ALLLLLLLLLLLL about THEIR Socialist-Communist take over of our Country. They said it before they got elected. Change was coming and SOME uncomfort is expected, as they TEAR DOWN all they say is WRONG with this Country, so "THEY" can build it back " the RIGHT way". Their way. Green new day will have to happen when they go BROKE buying GAS. Wealth WILL BE Redistributed as TAXES, Inflation, and restriction Drain YOUR SAVINGS ACCOUNT. They already let in more illegal aliens to constitute several of our largest populated CITIES, and they have SEEDED the GOVERMENT with enough Democrat zealots that they can control Government, the FBI, and the NEWS. This my friends is that Famous Sedition Republicans have been blackmailed and silenced with. IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE, as they inch their way to the next Elections. Next comes another hysteria they will create and cite, so as to give THEM the POWER to CONTROL The Elections and it's Electors . If they get away with that AGAIN ! we lose our Republic.

Clearly you are uneducated about this topic.

A Nissan Leaf is 28k, a Chevy Bolt is 32k, a Hyundai Kona is 35k. Most EVs also qualify for a $7500 federal tax credit, so you can knock that off the price as well.

Now, you were saying... ?

And what if one can't afford that?

My Opinion feel free to agree or disagree that's your right. There is no power grid in the US that would be able to handle everyone plugging their car in to charge it daily. Next you will be told when and what day you can charge you car. Exactly what the Dems want complete control like the wackos they are. Anyone with half a brain knows this country is not headed in the right direction and all those who voted for Biden own it.

Gasoline powered cars are being phased out by 2035, so we should probably be investing in the infrastructure now, that will help facilitate the transition to EVs.

Does it have to be union made to get tax credit?

As far as I know, the only qualification to get the 7,500 is it has to be a full electric vehicle and the manufacturer has to have not previously sold more than 200k units of that particular model. Teslas reached that threshold in 2018 and don’t qualify. Nearly all other EVs still qualify.

I am about to purchase a BMW i4 M50 and am eligible for the $7,500 tax credit, which makes a huge difference in the cost of the vehicle (and that’s before we even get to the thousands in annual fuel savings I will get by owning an EV)

This is a good resource with more information

It's definitely coming, only a matter of when. Even Motocross bikes are headed towards electric and all manufacturers are working on it. Stark Varg is a new face on the scene and has reportedly built a competitive 450 that should be out later this year. It will be interesting to see how it's performance lives up to it's hype. It's for the better but I will miss the sound of a finely tuned race bike.

Who the F is driving a Nissan leaf? A hyundai? Good luck getting one. Then run 240V to the charger in your home and good luck when the tank is low finding a freaking charging station. Well you could spend the day at the Mall waiting for your freaking Kia to charge. I'll be at the beach with my BMW and Porsche sitting in the garage.
Oh and Raoul you left out trucks, trains, planes, jets, cargo ships.
The insanity RUNNING today with you libs!

Won't happen it's liberal wishful thinking.

Looks like you are going to struggle to get around with your gas guzzler since GM and other automakers are literally phasing out gasoline cars by 2035. Do you know what that means ? It means gas stations are also slowly going away, so good luck getting around by paying $70 plus to refuel your ancient gas guzzler leading up to 2035.

There a laundry list of EVs available NOW by everyone from GM to BMW to Audi to Nissan and many more. Please educate yourself on this topic instead of puking up random nonsense to appear relevant on a subject you clearly know little about.

Keep dreaming !! I assume there going to replace those Diesel Trucks and Trains that haul give or take 90% of all goods around the US that stock your shelves with food etc. with Electric ones sure and then you wake up from the dream your living in.

This makes me think you've never worked or better said needed to work a real job in your life. You know, like when you wake up from a couch, wash your face, stick bread with something between, get into your financed beater, and get somewhere as the sun comes up. Like waking up washing up grabbing a bite and taking your Mudder's with you as you go muck a stall, and there are so many many more.
I can see where weaking up in a/c getting dressed looking out through you're view, as you straighten out your tie en-rout to the espresso machine living in a city, can blind you to the REST of the United States, but that doesn't make you right. To think by 2035 EVERYONE will have an EV isn't just ignorant for not taking into account the middle and low SEL needs/capabilities, it's also insensitive toward the reality those with lesser than yourself are forced to live , and arrogant which should be self-explanatory and apparent.
This is what your politics will never understand, nor have the empathy to care. All or nothing is a Fascist Maxim
