OC/QB Coach Joe Brady for LSU- obviously a big name who has been talked about a lot this year.

Todd McShay said that coming into this year, Joe Burrow was projected to be a 5th Rounder. Now he’s projected to be the 1st Overall Pick to Cincinnati. Jalen Hurts couldn’t complete a forward pass at Bama- Lincoln Riley had him in the Heisman conversation. Mike Leach made Gardner Minshew into an NFL QB. Chip Kelly made Mariotta a #2 overall pick. The guy before him at #1 is a first class douchebag in Jamies Winston- Jimbo. Look what Dabo and his coaches have done with Watson and Trevor Lawrence. Great coaching always gets great players to be at their greatest. Players can’t, and don’t, do it alone.

Again, NOTHING impacts player production more than COACHING. You coach these guys both on AND off the field; You mentor them; You develop personal relationships with them to help them grow as young men; you teach them technique; you teach them good football habits; you teach them how to be a “professional” athlete; you install a scheme which allows players to maximize their respective skill sets, rather than square peg in round hole stubborn dipshittery (like Danmark Penosofrio); you put them in positions to succeed.

Sure, there is natural superior ability, and it obviously helps to have great players around you. But the “lack of an OL” argument has been fake news for 15 years running now. How many 5-Star WRs does LSU have?

COACHING.

Thumbs up to Manny for an A- hire on Rhett Lashlee for OC and an A- hire on Garin Justice. Get Alonzo in the building already and get rid of the substitute teacher country club culture, and all hope may not be lost after all.....
