The libel lawsuit against Fox et al

Listened to a podcast yesterday about the recent libel lawsuit against Fox by an election software company from Boca Raton. The suit also names Rudy, Sidney Powell, Maria Bartiromo and Lou Dobbs as defendants. Plaintiff is seeking $2.7 billion in damages.

The allegations center on Fox’s spreading the false story that the Boca company allowed Trump votes to be changed to Biden votes. Indeed, they conspired to change the election results, said Fox and friends.

Plaintiff’s 284 page complaint counters that the company has only one election-related client in the US, LA County. It does have many election clients worldwide, eg the Philippines. But, it played no part in the 2020 presidential election outside of LA County.

Plaintiff alleges that defendants created a false story and repeated it over and over to support Trumps claims that the election was rigged. As a result, plaintiff’s business and reputation have been severely damaged.

Interestingly, Fox pulled Lou Dobbs off the air yesterday.

This is either hilariously stupid on Fox’s part or Hilariously stupid on their part and a level of grandstanding never seen before.

For a multi-billion dollar media outlets to promote a narrative without factual proof or at least a plausible and corroborated witness to the alleged facts, it’s insane to think theybwould do something like that. Of course I watched cnn and msnbc do it for years.

Now let’s says for instance a court hears the case and actual evidence is introduced and supported shit will absolutely hit the fan! If this case is thrown out for any reason and the media suppresses the story it will only fuel the fire of media conspiracies.
