How many of those people went to the Hospital that didnt need to because of the Media fear mongering? My wife is working the ER 3-4 days a week and says that most folks that show up with Covid could easily have stayed home. on a daily basis she will get 1-3 calls from friends or friends of friends that have covid asking if they should go to the hospital just because "They have covid".
Bless you wife brother ! best professional advice I ever received was " find a long time nurse, if her temperament is nasty the better. Jump in her pocket, be respectful, work your tail off and if you do well she'll teach you something that will carry you through a career" . I live in admiration and appreciation of true nurses, and she couldn't be more correct the ER's are stuffed with clutter (atleast down here for now)
Here is another food for thought the Sentinel doesn’t tell you. Anyone know why Florida may be facing a hospital staffing shortage? It could be because other states such as California are paying travel nurses 10k per week to work there for a month because their numbers are just as bad. And for the record one of my wife’s friends was offered 10k to go to California, she jumped on a red eye Saturday night and will call out sick for the next 4 weeks.
This is definitely happening. Grass isn’t greener though. Know people who went to NYC for a month or two and they actually made less money because of housing costs, travel, and insane taxes.
Travel nurses overall make up a small percentage of the hospital staffing. What’s happening is that normal staff nurses have become “travelers” and are taking assignments in other hot spots
Remember vaccines for measles and mumps have long been mandated in the United States and in Florida, for whatever reason DeSantis I don’t know if it’s to his political base but to not protect the citizens of Florida has been beyond catastrophic for hospitals with the Delta surge… to stand in the way of universities mandating vaccines and work mandating vaccines while telling children we will not protect you as well it’s a personal freedom choice is beyond incomprehensible. The mishandling an absolute working against protecting the public with delta surging will likely cost DeSantis a shot at the White House in my opinion, this is going to be tough to overcome in a national campaign.

9 months isn't enough lead time to discern the possible negative effects of a vaccine, especially in the pediatric and geriatric population. The Covid pandemic and it's risk of death is the reason emergency measures were taken and the vaccine was authorized. Allowing we the people the right to chose weather to take it or not is the only moral choice if you are not going to assume the responsibility of the negative effects of the vaccine. I didn't see you post the statistics of the people that have died over complications from taking the vaccine, nor did you post the statistics and findings from administering the different types of vaccines to the pediatric and geriatric populations. For one, Moderna seems to be having problems with the pediatric population. Do you think it is wise to inject children, who have 60-80 years of life ahead of them, with a substance that could handicap them from their life span ? These things need to be taken slowly and methodically, and up until now it has been well balanced, considering the push and panic caused by Covid.
My question is WHY HASN"T THE BOARDER BEEN CLOSED ? Covid delta/lambda has shown an infectivity of no less than 8 infected per 1 person infected. Considering the immigrants are coming over in groups and herds, with Covid + found present in the groups ( not even counted are the got-aways), then these people are put together in groups again (you've seen the pictures all cramped together in normal rooms with no valid protections) and SHIPPED all through out the country. Don't you think THIS IS A SUPER SPREADER EVENT? We can not say we are worried about Covid and Vaccination, if we do not make any kind of EFFORT to SHUT OFF the Virus's Point of Entry. It's just dishonest and in THIS CASE IT IS POLITICAL ( what do Democrats have to gain by allowing immigrants to enter the US, well their VOTE, after they are given citizenship, and the Democrats will push to legalize all the immigrants just wait for it.
