We've all felt "that could never happen here" was real and we were typically right. The words of my Cuban Mother-in-law, God rest her soul, are coming back to me with a sense of urgency. She would always tell me that in the Fifties when the threat of Revolution was nearing, that was the mantra..."that could never happen here."
