Those nice guys from Oregon?

Seems odd that Oregon offered, as reported here, to not hold Mario to any financial penalty (or obligation) to leave his job and come home to his beloved U. Are they just nice guys only wanting to make their coach happy by saying goodbye?

Why would a business or university let an employee they value leave without a shout, a negotiation, or a lawsuit?

Could there be another reason, besides the irrational one stated above that the gentlemen from the Beaver Staten just want to make other people happy, make an early Christmas present for the U?

Or could it possibly be the Athletic department and King Knight are not enamored with Mario's performance.?

Only saw Oregon play once on TV and the nice boys from the Beehive State of Utah made them look worse than we did playing Alabama. No see much fight in the Ducks players or glimmer in their coaches eyes. We did see the languid and tranquil expression their coach wore on his face the entire game---or at least when the TV camera focused on him.

As Mark Rogers, "The Voice of College Football," said on his program, and I paraphrase, that other than playing and beating OSU---fluke city---Oregon has a cupcake schedule. Still they lost two games with another and a bowl game to play.

Speaking of Christmas: Please Santa bring us Lane Kiffin, wrapping unnecessary.
