The transfer portal officially re-opened on April 16th.

Here is a tracker of players departing and entering the program and potential targets and offers.



Parrish transferred to Ole Miss


Kelly transferred to UCF

Notable players that have entered the transfer portal from Miami:


Sagapolu saw action in eight games in two years at Miami, making one start in 2022. Spent first two seasons at Oregon.

Sagapolu transferred to Washington


Backup quarterback Jacurri Brown has entered the transfer portal. In the last two seasons, Brown played in nine games and started three, passing for 411 yards, four touchdowns, and four interceptions. He completed 47-of76 passes (62.2 percent) and rushed for 280 yards, averaging 3.9 yards per carry with two TDs on the ground. He also had a reception for nine yards.


Brown transferred to UCF


Citizen's college football career was derailed by an ACL injury prior to his true freshman season. He did not have any carries on the college football level.


Citizen transferred to McNeese State


Kaleb Spencer will enter the transfer portal after one year with the program. He played in six games last season and made one tackle. He had one tackle and one pressure in the spring game. He was a three-star safety prospect in Virginia and converted to linebacker while at Miami.

Spencer transferred to Virginia Tech


Last season, the 6'4" 284-pound defensive linemen had 26 total pressures, two sacks, 22 hurries, and 20 total tackles with 506 snaps played.

According to Pro Football Focus, his best-graded game was his last in the Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgers (Defensive - 77.5, Run Defense - 80.6, Tackling - 76.7, Pressure - 69.3), totaling four tackles.


Harrison-Hunte transferred to SMU


Wayne played eight games and started one in his freshman season at Miami. He totaled 13 tackles (4 solo), a half sack, and half tackle for loss.


Wayne transferred to Washington


Demetrius Freeney is the latest Hurricane to enter the transfer portal. He missed time due to injury in one season with the Hurricanes. In the spring game, he had a pick-six off of true freshman QB Judd Anderson.

He totaled 31 snaps, with 30 on special teams and one on defense last season.

Freeney transferred to Arizona


Riley transferred to Miami in December and will now re-enter the transfer portal.


Riley transferred to Colorado


Denis played 203 snaps in 2022, zero in 2023.

Denis was a local product rated as a four-star prospect and 6th ranked guard in the country for the 2020 class



Second-year linebacker Marcellius Pulliam enters the transfer portal. Registered one tackle and an interception in 2023.


Pulliam transferred to Michigan State


Thomas Gore played in all thirteen games as a rotational player on the defensive line in his lone season with Miami in 2023. He registered eight tackles (five solo) two sacks and two forced fumbles.
