If what his niece said about Fred Trump being a total sociopath is true, then it would explain Trump's lies, cheating, and general douchebaggery during his life and Presidency. We are dealing with an utterly broken human being who is completely devoid of empathy towards others.

He is a politician .. and there haven't been many (if any) .. that have been "nice guys" .. since Ronald Reagan. Dems are attacking the individual .. most people who vote for Trump are looking beyond personal idiosyncrasies at the bigger picture .. focusing on the USA, economy, capitalism, and taking a position against the globalism, socialistic / communistic leaning policies that the left favors. All of the personal name calling is so childish that it really makes the "democratic" party appear to be a collective of pre-school children.

Except that Trump doesn't stand for any of these things. The only issue you could possibly give him partial credit for during his pre-Presidential days is China - which hasn't yielded any success for him during his Presidency. People are ostensibly putting their faith into someone who doesn't believe in most of what he says and is only doing it as a cynical bargain to not lose power.
