Don’t want to be an alarmist as I sure hope he has such strong family ties locally that he would never think about leaving bc losing him would be gut-puncher.
But…with the way our season ended….
….we all know how slimy the portal is…3rd party contacts…NIL agents…players from other teams…any and all could reach out to Yoyo to test his interest, especially if it involves a team that ends up in Omaha in 2 weeks and needs just one more solid player to plug in next year to make a run…a team that can do what we’ve had trouble doing…hit the ball, score runs, and win on a consistent basis.
Yoyo has only 1 year remaining so why not go to a top team that’s projected to contend for a title. Could we blame him? As of late, he’s been a one-man show.
I hope I’m wrong but if we don’t get him help at the plate….like I said, I hope I’m wrong and he comes back to The Light for an even better season next year.
