UM law school Dean fired

According to yesterdays Miami Herald, UM President Dr Julio Frenk fired UM school of law Dean Tony Varona, sparking outrage from members of the faculty, student body and alumnae. Frenk did not give reasons for the firing except alluded to lack of fund raising.
A recent decline in UMs law school's US News & World Report rankings may have contributed to Varona's dismissal as well as improving the graduation rate at UMs law school.

I don't know Varona, but I need to make some calls and get the skinny on this. When this happened to Dean Sam, Reince and I ended up in the Miami Herald after staging a protest. I got misquoted so bad by the press the Dean's wife confronted me and i had to clear it up lol. The good old days at the U Law school.
