I have researched and I can not find a single American college or pro athlete that has died from COVID since January 2020.

I have found news of 2 kids in China that have died from hypoxia from wearing masks during gym and numerous other reports of injuries and infections secondary to mask hypoxia and bacteria.

It is time to unmask the Canes. It is time to quit living in fear. It is time to play ball.

However, if there an upside to this in that wearing those masks in the brutal south Florida heat will give us an edge in conditioning and playing in games without them will be so much easier. Hopefully this mask charade will be over soon, but I think Canes football may see some benefit from it.

Not any real science showing that it has much effect outdoors, or in brief personal encounters when people aren’t breathing on one another . If I’m at poker table for 4 hours a foot away from others , would a face mask be a good idea? Yeah , but I’m not putting myself in that situation!

Until masks are nationally mandated, If you don't want to wear a mask don't wear one. Just don't come around ANYONE that does wear one, or feels they are necessary. If you want to wear a mask wear one and go only wear others believe masks are useful and necessary.

The science for mask wearing to prevent the spread of COVID is neither solid nor proven. The risks of wearing a mask for hours throughout the day are proven. How can diminishing the intake of oxygen to body tissues and rebreathing CO2 be good for you? The reason Fauci told us all in March that masks are ineffective is because he knows from data/science that masks are ineffective and, as he said, potentially more likely to increase infection. I will leave it up to you and your common sense to conclude why he changed his mind a couple of months later.

It is my opinion, that UM students/athletes should not be required to wear masks, at any time, because the science does not support it and mask wearing could impair their health. If they choose to wear a mask, that is their choice.

The science for mask wearing to prevent the spread of COVID is neither solid nor proven. The risks of wearing a mask for hours throughout the day are proven. I do know heart inflammation is not a new medical issue for 2020. It is typically secondary to viruses such as the flu. We played with that risk last year and the year before that and so on.

I like your theory on the mask. Please shoot me a link for the medical study on masks that supports your position. You might not like what you find in the New England Journal of Medicine. Seriously, if you have something, I would like to see it. I’m not on Facebook and I have never heard of 4Chan. If you find something on those forums, let me know.

Yes, you are correct. My area is much less stringent on masks than other parts of the Country. But the mere fact that you can be fined anywhere in The United States of America for not wearing a mask should send chills down everyone's spine. I guarantee you that in 1968 with the Hong Kong Flu, that was on par in deaths in the USA and exceeded the number of deaths globally, these municipalities never would have gotten away with such a thing. But the populous has been softened for years and years, vis-a-vis the Public School system and Universities, and this is what you get.
