  • The State Department told the Daily Caller News Foundation it will “no longer” charge Americans thousands of dollars to board evacuation flights out of Afghanistan.
  • But the State Department did not answer when asked if it will reimburse those who have already been charged to board flights out of the country.
  • An online form that, according to the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan, Americans are required to fill out to secure flights out of the country continued to state Friday afternoon that citizens will need to reimburse the U.S. government for the cost of their evacuation.
  • State Department spokesman Ned Price issued a statement to the press Thursday afternoon saying the Biden administration has “no intention of seeking any reimbursement from those fleeing Afghanistan.”
