I don’t think anyone here will say that Mario is the best coach around obviously he’s not. But what Gary and others (including myself) are saying is that Mario is the best coach for Miami. Like it or not Miami is a different animal. Not just the school itself but it being in a large city. Miami is not for everyone and not everyone can do well here. Mario understands that. And I just don’t think the Matt Campbell’s and Luke Fickells of the world would understand that. And the fact that he can recruit kids to bum**** Oregon just shows how good a recruiter he is so imagine what he can do at Miami. I mean look at his commit list. He has kids not just from Cali but Texas Nebraska Michigan etc. So he can still cherry pick across the US while being smack dab in the heart of the top 1 or 2 recruiting areas in the country. So that combined with getting a couple good coordinators and he’ll be very successful.
