...people cared more about being right about their opinion of a player or coach than they did about the team being successful?

Case in point is the QB position. Each of the three QBs has their supporters. And each of the three QBs has their own strengths and weaknesses. I, for one, was in the Tate camp all along and was hoping he would be the guy. But from the moment JW was announced the starter, I have completely supported him. I don’t know why there are some that don’t. I mean, he’s far from perfect - doesn’t have the strongest arm, has held the ball too long on occasions, and other things as well - but his stats the first three games are absolutely phenomenal. And he’s not even close to the reason why we lost our first two games. Indeed, he played well enough for us to be undefeated. If our kicker could make a freaking chip shot, we might very well be 3-0.

There’s plenty to be upset about with the current state of the football program, but JW isn’t one of those things. Oh well, I at least take solace in the fact that those people who bash JW are going to be forced to watch him for the next 2-3 years, because absent an injury there’s no chance he’s going anywhere So, enjoy your misery - I know I will!
