When the GOP had a Sense of Humor and SNL was still Funny

Not only was snl hilarious back in the day but the music acts were the best in the world. Greatfull dead, stevie wonder, eric clapton etc. it’s just political garbage and hipster hollywood social climbers now.
use to be America didn’t want to miss it. Now it’s… use to be who evers on there is going to be the next adam sandler, dan akroid or jon lovitz. Use to be who’s going to be the special guest, jerry sienfeld, patrick swasey or steve martin for the fifth time. Now it’s another hollywood hipster that social climbed to the spot. Night and day drop off.
snl is now sadly just a big city liberal niche that catch it from time to time if it happens to be on when they’re around it and not doing anything else. As bad as espn talk shows have gotten, they still take precedence over snl in background tv even in lame dinner parties. That’s really saying something too. It was like college football outcomes. Everybody knew every skit by weekends end. Can a single person on here say a funny skit from three weeks ago?
in all fairness though, chris F was a legend that no one should be compared to including imo john Baluchi who was awesome. Eddie was pretty damn good too.
