I keep hearing that the world is watching. Why isn’t the world doing anything other than judging? The mid east country’s in particular. Let’s not forget that potential acts of terrorism aren’t just subject to taking place in the us. If everyone is at risk than everyone needs to physically be there and contribute and not just the us.

We aren't the only ones. Afghanistan has been a NATO mission for over a decade and was an ISAF mission before that, which means many other countries have been there over the years - most notably the Brits, but many others as well. We only get most of the blame because we were the biggest country, with the most funding and resources, which means our policy choices have the biggest impact on what happens there.

Our European. allies wanted to keep a small residual force at Bagram to keep the Taliban at bay and supervise air strikes. Biden rejected it. They then conducted an orderly professional withdrawal as opposed. to the catastrophic human. tragedy we are seeing now.

Zero reasons why we should have more resources committed to anywhere on the planet than the rest of the planet combined. It’s BS. Not making excuses for our country right now because the ball was clearly in our court and we couldn’t have screwed the pooch more than we did but the rest of the world has to own this too. It can’t just be a US thing to fix or screw up.
