I know that player interviews may matter more in the NFL Draft than in the NBA Draft, but I still wonder if Lonnie Walker may move up the draft board after his interviews. NBA teams are looking for a good fit talent wise, but they also need personalities that mesh with their other players, as well as leaders of men and not players who are easily influenced by distractions.
The first time I viewed one of Walker's interviews, I realized that this was a High School Sr who already spoke like a mature man. Composed, measured, polite. Unlike other athletes his age, he was not hyper, he did not ramble, and his responses were clearly stated and cogent at the same time. In the past year, his interview skills have been honed even further. I don't know if that will help him, but it can't hurt.
