Hello Caniacs...

On the eve of our first game vs NCST at the 2022 ACC Baseball Championship at Truist Field in Charlotte, NC. On Tuesday, the Wolfpack beat the Deacs, 11-8 despite being outhit 13-8 and committing 3 errors to Wake none. But NCST had 2 BIG innings, scoring 6 and 5 runs.

Here's a few stats for U to compare our Canes to the 'Pack.

RECORDS
NCST /ACC 34-20, 14-15/ACC (5th place Atlantic, .483 Winning %/ACC)
Miami: 39-16, 20-10/ACC 2nd place Coastal, .667 winning %, 2nd best ACC behind Coastal winner VaTech .679 and Atlantic winner Louisville .617

NCST's game with Wake Forest)

NCST BATTING
Tommy White is NCST’s top hitter at .365, No. 6 in the ACC (also No. 2/ACC in HRs with 23. Oh, and he just a true FR).

UM BATTING
CJ Kayfus leads the team in batting at .362, No.13 in the ACC (down 21 points and 7 spots since right before the FSU series).

UM PITCHING
Carson Palmquist* (9-3) is 4th/ACC, leads team with a 2.64 ERA/4th ACC; Jake Garland (6-2) is 11th with 3.46 ERA/11th; Karson Ligon (6-5) is 18th with a 4.13 ERA; (Alejandro Rosario not listed among top 29).
*Can we assume he'll be our starter vs NCST?

NCST PITCHING
Canaan Silver (7-1, started vs WF) is No. 10/ACC leads team with 3.43 ERA; Logan Whitacker (2-3) is No. 13/ACC with a 3.57 ERA (no other 'Pack pitcher is listed in the top 29 including Tuesday's starter vs WF, Justin Lawson who did not get the W).

I have not seen who NCST will start against us. Whitaker?).

Current RPI
ncaa.com (update weekly)
Miami: No. 8 (same as last week)
NCST: No. 42 (don't know how much this will help, or hurt, our ranking if we win

warrennolan.com (Live: they update game by game, hence "Live")
Miami:
No. 9 (down 1 from last week, not sure )
NCST: No. 38 (+4 after beating WF)

Strength of Schedule (SOS)
Miami: No. 23 (same as before ND series)
NCST: No. 30

One Last Thing:
NO. 10 NCST
and No. 12 Pitt share 1 important stat: In Charlotte, they upset a team that swept them last weekend (No. 6 WF and No. 7 GT respectively). Anything can happen so don't assume any outcome just bc it's No. 3 Miami vs No. 10 NCST.

One Last Thing, Part Deux
Depending on where U live, don't count of ACCN to carry the game locally. In Florida it may be Bally's Sports or some other RSN (regional sports network). To find a network channel near U, check out this ACC on Regional Sports Networks page (Courtesy, theacc.com). If U can't find a channel, go to the old standby online: Watch ESPN/ACCNX (Schedule & Replays page). If that fails U, I found this telecast page online at ballysports.com). Whether there's a blackout issue here, IDK. Good luck!

That's all I got. I hope to be back Wednesday night for our Game 1 in the ACC Baseball Championship vs NCS so please join me.

Go Canes!
