Doesn't count before 1970 because of segregation, lack of central air-conditioning throughout the south, and lack of media and television exposure. said the AP list was biased because it gave bonuses for teams who made it in the actual top 10 AP polls and was number one in the AP .

Since 1970, Colin says re: top programs-

1 Bama
2 USC
3 Ohio State
4 Oklahoma
5 Florida
6 Miami
7 FSU
8 Nebraska
9 Texas
10 Notre Dame

FYI his criteria:
25% National championships
25% conference championships
25% Players drafted in NFL
25% impact last 15 years

since 1970 USC has had the most players drafted in the NFL and the most players drafted in the first round of the NFL. we were docked because of lack of national relevancy last 15 years. Same with Nebraska. he said Notre Dame barely made it in the top 10 and barely edged out LSU for it. said Michigan hasn't done dick under his criteria in the last 45 years and only has one national championship. he said 5, 6, and 7 between us, Florida State and Florida was splitting hairs. was tempted to put us ahead of Florida. Oklahoma actually has an impressive resume under his criteria since 1970.
