We are through the first weekend of the 2022 NCAA Tournament, and guess what? It turns out, maybe the ACC wasn’t the pathetic, dead, historically bad conference that we’ve been told it was for the last five months. In fact, the terrible ACC is currently tied with the Big-12 for the most teams in the Sweet Sixteen with Duke, UNC, and Miami all advancing.
Let’s take a quick look at the NCAA tournament records by some of the conferences this season:
ACC: 8-2
Pac-12: 4-1
Big-12: 9-3
Big-10: 9-7
SEC: 4-5
AAC: 3-1
And this same narrative has played out in the college football bowl seasons more often than not, where they, (ESPN) talking heads, shit on the ACC conference all year long, then when they winners or are runners up in the annual Bowl Challenge Cup Series…where at the conclusion of all the bowl games, the conferences are ranked via total wins, with the winner getting the Challenge Cup trophy…and as par for the course, when we‘ve won it, or placed in the top (2)/tied for 2nd), all you heard from those hypocrites were…crickets!
