While we had struggled the first few games, we were up 7-3 on Michigan State and King throws a strike that hits Mallory in the chest for a touchdown, wait he drops the ball and we have to settle for a FG attempt which we missed. If we would have gone up 14-3 do we win that game and grow confidence and beat Virginia and UNC?
speaking with a local coach who played pro ball, I asked about how a coach coming in can change things with the same personnel (we were discussing the Cowboys defense). He said what happens is less Xs and Os but more about confidence. If the guy comes in and changes a few things and the team goes out and experiences some success the team gains confidence which makes them play faster. If they don’t have confidence then they play hesitant.
