In a landmark decision, Governor Gavin Newsome signed into law Bill 796 on Thursday 09/30/2021, to enable the transfer of ownership of prime beachfront property to heirs of a black couple who built a resort for Blacks in the early 1900s. They were stripped of the land by local officials. The Propery is in LA county. The Bruce family now has authority for the property but a decision will come very soon as to how the property will be developed.
