I have posted this information on this board several times in the past, but for the benefit of any new CaneSport members, here it is again:

While the University of Miami has made its mark on the NFL in many ways, including
* its incredible history of 1st Round Draft choices and those players' subsequent success in the NFL,
* the many times we sent 6,7,8,9, even 10 players to the Pro Bowl in one year,
* the incredible consecutive week streak in which a Miami alum scored a TD.....

One of the most amazing facts is that the University of Miami has produced, far and away, the most prodigious offensive skill position players in NFL history. Incredibly, Miami has produced 10 different NFL players with more than 10,000 All Purpose Yards, which includes yards gained rushing, receiving, and returning kicks. Those players are:

Devin Hester
Frank Gore
Edgerrin James
Reggie Wayne
Andre Johnson
Michael Irvin
Santana Moss
OJ Anderson
Clinton Portis
Kevin Williams

I can find no other college with more than 5 such players and most of the other schools you would think would be up there (Texas, ND, USC, Ohio St, Oklahoma, etc) only have 3 or 4.

Miami has 10.

By the way, we have two other NFL greats just under 10,000 All Purpose Yards, Chuck Foreman with 9144 and Willis McGahee with 9813. In addition, Greg Olsen retired with 8683 yards and Jimmy Graham has 8509 & counting. There are many others Miami alums who accumulated NFL yardage totals between the 5000-8000 yards.

These facts speak for themselves
