But you can’t be blind to the improvement the second half of season and look, so they decided not to knee jerk fire a coach 2 1/2 years into his time. They don’t like the optics of hiring and firing coaches this quickly. Had the improvement of the team and spectacular emergence of Van Dyke not been there then the mindset might be different. That’s my read.
I don’t think there was a consensus and it does make sense for the new AD to make the call moving forward
