Gary, do you have ANY details on the plans that Mario has been sharing with some of the local HS coaches and recruits? Apparently the plans being finalized call for MAJOR upgrades that will mark an investment several times larger than the IPF that was built a couple of years ago. The comment that I saw included an overview of the existing facility and practice fields ... with red circles drawn around the soccer field and running track that is located between the Hecht and the baseball field. APPARENTLY this 'underutilized' area is the site for a MAJOR facility that was described as "Alabama level ... but better". Additionally the Hecht I understand will be completely renovated and the IPF will be lengthened. Crazy that UM is really making a commitment nobody could have foreseen a year ago. Thanks Herbie!
