For those who don't know, #Run It Back was the post nearly every returning player posted on Twitter when they chose to return for their 7th, 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd year instead of testing the NFL.

Unfortunately, they are learning a terrible lesson.

Things get worse in the Manny Diaz era. Every single change helps things get better temporarily, but much sooner than later things get worse in the Manny Diaz era.

Name one player who has not regressed after peaking? Normally, it takes years to regress due to health, but our players regress sometimes in the same season and never recover. Perfect example is Jarren Williams who is in the record for both the best stats and the worst stats all in one week. He either threw or tied for the most TD passes against Louisville only to be remembered as the only QB to lose to FIU and no touchdowns all in one week.

Here is a current indictment on how well we develop players as Manny Diaz and staff that were blessed to have the buy in from the #Run It Back returnees.

King, God Bless that dude regressed.
The entire OL regressed.
The DT is better because of HUNT the only new face currently allowed to play, but Roberts and Taylor will peak this year and if Simpson is around they will be a force of nature to behold when they grow up. This group will not regress if Simpson is around in the future.
The WR is better because there are a lot of new faces.
The RB still cannot pass block and do not know how to block and release effectively as an outlet. There is an art to it. Block as hard as the rush is coming and sell the pass block. Once the rusher is committed to rush release for an easy completion if necessary for the QB.
The Secondary is regressing, and until both 0 and 15 replaces both Bubba and Hall things will not get better.
The LB may get better since injuries have kept most players from peaking at Miami so this may be the year for TEMPORARY IMPROVEMENT.
TE will get better once Arroyo peaks this season, but once again another new face.
and I hate to say this, but the QB can get better temporarily because new faces.

There are too many good #Run IT Back players on this list that need to be replaced which is an indictment on the vision and direction of the football team. Is there any industry that a company or institution returns 89% of top producers, and none of the returnees can be relied upon to maintain or improve from their previous years production? In the business world, such companies have too many internal problems that all stem from an inaccurate vision from the CEO. In Manny Diaz you have a coach who has apparent design problems with his 2021 system. There is systematic failure. His old players do not fit into the 2021 system. As a result, the offense does not work, the defense does not work, and the special teams only functions at 50% in hidden yardage as our return is non-existent. None of it works unless you are using new pieces to program correctly and install into your system. Apparently it is harder to reprogram the older pieces and it does not make sense to customize and design the new system to utilize the returning talent first and then incorporate the new pieces that work better with the 2021 system than the returning pieces. When you see how well these #Run It Back players transformed their bodies from the previous year and pass the eye test for looking the part of a D1 Power5 athlete you know the blame cannot go on them for why the team is failing. It's only a matter of time before the locker room divides when all the players that chose to #Run It Back are riding the bench behind a youth movement.
