Good evening, Caniacs...
It's Game 2 of our 3-game home series vs the Pitt Panthers. Can we top last night's 2-1 thriller in 10 innings? I doubt it. I'll settle for winning by 6-10 runs. Did U notice last night's game thread drew more than 2K views?
Interest is building for our baseball team.
PITCHERS
UM: FR RHP Karson Ligon: 4-3, 3.57 ERA. In 45.1 IP: H 40, R 22. ER 18, BB 16, K 46
Pitt: SO RHP Logan Evans: 3-4, 6.85 ERA. In 46 IP: H 59, R 38, ER 35, BB 14, K 40 - 6-foot-5 Penn St transfer
Unless he's out injured, Pitt HC Mike Bell must be saving his other top pitcher Billy Corcoran is No. 14 with a 3.29 ERA.
Their Game 1 starter Matt Gilbertson was outstanding going 8 innings and limited us to just 1 run.
This is as good an unranked team we will see all year. Don't dismiss them bc of the name across their jerseys.
