Oh, and this press secretary Psaki? Elite in every single way imagineable.....God it feels good to be an American again.

LMAO@Republicans treating the pipeline which is pretty much the modern version of the fax machine under this guise of preserving jobs. Progress is new energy jobs. Get on the train or get passed by. We are moving beyond coal and oil and gas for the future. We are going with clean energy. That's not going to stop just because Republicans are in bed with these companies....and make money off them.

No it isn't gonna stop. Sorry but you aren't flying anytime soon on solar plane. You aren't generating 95% of the electricity in this country or around the world without fossil fuels. You aren't getting to space without rocket fuel. You libs are so stupid. It's one thing to set goals it's another to try to force your way there and pretend you can make it happen by snapping your fingers. There will be consequences to this approach.

The guy in the blue suit sums everything up nicely. There is no excuse to invest in any new fossil fuel projects at a time when the industry is gradually going away. It would be like investing in the horse drawn carriage industry in the 1920s when the automobile was becoming available to the masses.

The consequences will be new jobs that come online every year. Oil won’t disappear but it will get used less over time, which is why we don’t need to waste any money on building new infrastructure.

Delusion & fantasy at level 10! By the way solar & wind equipment aren’t truly green. You ever seen a windmill with an oil leak? Giant ass mess. Plus those mills have very limited lifespans & then you have to dispose of the equipment which isn’t biodegradable last I checked. They bury them!

You guys are so caught up in rhetoric you were duped again.

Really fool? Look

USAGE WENT UP 5 FOLD and has DOUBLED SINCE 1980 WORLDWIDE!

Now you tell me how this is reversing anytime soon?
I swear you guys are really stupid as F. You think because we are practical that somehow we are anti- alternative energy sources. Why would we be ? Oh maybe it's the 100 shares I own in Chevron.

Great NEW JOBS! When they get here the market will fill the positions.

No one claimed oil isn't available. We are saying it is going away from being used by humans in the future due to environmental hazards and the increasing availability of clean energy (along with all the jobs it the clean sector will bring),

When? Tomorrow? Next week? Next month? You guys are just so stupid. Why don't you cut off your electricity and burn candles for lights.

Why so angry ?

Industries are always in flux when new technologies become available, and workers always adapt by cross training from the old into the new. This is no different.

Because your whole premise is not only shortsighted, ignorant and implausible, it just makes us a weak target on the world stage and makes us rely on foreign supply which can be used against us. Like i said! Dumb

On the contrary, the long term view is to invest heavily in clean energy now since that is where all the other nations in the world are headed (including the Saudis). Doubling down on oil now would make us look like dinosaurs in the age of mammals. We already get all the oil we need in the present from Canada and a few other sources and also make more oil (via shale) than anyone else in the world, so that argument doesn’t hold any merit whatsoever.

Who said we are flying a solar plane anytime soon? I'll tell you who. Nobody. It's some ridiculous statement you just pulled out of your ass to make some lame ass argument that we are moving away from things we are moving away from. Who said we are going to space without rocket fuel? Just stop....you are in some kind of weird time capsule. These things are not going to be our focus. We still use fax machines too.....lol. We don't focus on those however do we? Your consequences to your approach are you are going to get left behind. These are just facts. It is time to move to clean energy now or you are going to be ass out. Technology works that way. Why do you think we still aren't using pay phones and rotary phones or typewriters. Technology will continue to improve. We need forward thinkers in charge.....not people stuck in the good old days.

There is a larger and simpler reality behind this energy debate. Read the above post and 90%+ of the similar green posts. Notice the posters always speak in plural saying we, the country etc. It is simple, they are communists and socialists believing in central control of the economy by the government. They do not believe in the free markets. They believe government should control capital, the distribution of resources, the activities of citizens and the means of productions

Keystone was not a government funded program. It was a privately funded by individuals and corporations that invested with their hard earned dollars because they believed it was a good investment. If they thought windmills were a better investment, their money would have been spinning in the breeze. The US government interfered with private investment and individual free will by shutting down Keystone. That is what Communist and socialist governments do.

These people are all victims of misinformation they are being fed on Fox. Just look at the dope, Peter Doocy who thought he could bamboozle Jen Psaki with cherry picked misinformation, before she obliterated him on national TV with everything he left off when asking his question.

How long term Raoul? Give me a definitive answer! You can’t which is why it’s all bullshit! It’s nothing more than a money making scheme in “green energy” that isn’t even green.

Correct from the former Trans Canada Energy company. It will carry "sticky tar oil" much harder to transport and will cut straight down from Alberta, Canada thru Montana, South Dakota etc on a more direct route to the refineries in Texas.

Its a gradual process, so there is no hard date. What we know is that GM - America's largest automaker - has committed to getting rid of gasoline powered vehicles by 2035, and Ford and Chrysler expected to announce the same soon. So that is 50% of the US automarket requiring 100% less oil, which is a process that is already underway now.

At the same time companies like Tesla and many other manufacturers already have electric vehicles on the road today and the infrastructure to recharge them is largely already in place. Other companies like Amazon are building a fleet of robotaxis that are going to start eating into what Fedex and UPS do now.

Ultimately what all of this means in the present is we have to invest heavily in the infrastructure of the future and stop being short term day traders by clinging to the ideas of the past, which is why backwards looking short term projects like Keystone are being done away with in favor of long term investments in clean energy projects.

Cool but it still doesn’t change the fact we need fossil fuels. Take for instance plastics which are made with fossil fuels. Do we produce our own and sell residual to other countries while maintaining work force or do we allow China to own that market? Of course you already know the answer to that with Beijing Biden. Spare me the pollution also

LOL... First of all this is a woman. So as you critique her for using hypotheticals you don't even have any idea of who this person is. That's hilarious to me as you also critique liberals while the head of the republican party is on trial after being impeached for the second time in four years.

The most amazing thing is you guys have been using the same talking tracks so long you don't bother to adjust them any longer.... lmao. You don't even care what applies. It's just hilarious. The Republican party is a dumpster fire right now now and liberals are enjoying it like arsons.

How nice, no hard date. Those Biden unemployed do have hard dates that their mortgages, car notes, insurance premiums and school tuitions are due -probably in March 2021.. These are real people - not dueling think tank projections. Maybe GM can pay those hard date bills now since they are going to make so much money in 2035?

It doesn't matter how these initiatives are funded. That's what you people don't seem to get. We are going to green energy. Period! People will get left behind and lose money....as I imagine happened to the wood burning stove or the Ice box.

There is a huge variety of ways to produce green energy beyond just wind mills. We are going to clean energy sources and when I say we I mean the entire world. This is America. We are going to lead the effort as we are supposed to and benefit from it.

Yes, Psaki is female. Your video then cuts to some wormy dude who wants to tell people losing their livelihood how much better the libs know then they do. if someone of your ilk disagrees with me then I know I'm doing something right. Thank you.

Dems canceling the keystone pipeline is window dressing by politicians to appease the left and it’s actually counterproductive. The pipeline is a safer way and more efficient than the trucks and railways they use now, by the way the railways owned by George Soros.
And the idea that you stop drilling here and act like your helping the world as an excuse to destroy businesses and jobs is asinine. The rest of the underdeveloped world can not afford to not use cheap energy sources ie coal oil natural gas
If we don’t produce it somebody else will. And unfortunately the people that will are Russia Iran Venezuela and the entire Middle East. Which then makes it a global security let alone a notional security issue.
those countries are full of people with bad intentions. The real answer is to continue to be the world’s biggest energy producer create high paying jobs, keep a big % of the world’s oil money out of the hands of bad characters and be the leader in development of cleaner and safer energy sources. With demand worldwide so high for natural gas and oil why would you not be the leader in the industry not the loser.
all those jobs and money can also provide the necessary funds for research and development of the new energy sources .
The dishonesty of the narrative is ridiculous the Paris accord is a joke no one is meeting the commitments.
And China and India don’t even have to start for years and the USA is supposed to pay for other countries
Come on man

Don’t want the government to appease any side on this issue that cost people their livelihood for political purposes when the decision has no effect on the environment in a positive way, and act like it’s monumental in preventing climate change and it’s actually worse for the environment and line the pockets of your buddy George Soros

It does matter how they are funded and who decides what to fund. A free market is better to decide that than a Comunist or Socialist system. That has been proven over the history of the world.

Huh? What do you think drives free markets? Why would someone fund wood burning stove......lmao...TECHNOLOGY! Like I said, if this were true? We would be using wood burning stoves still. We would use typewriters and land line phones. All funded through the free market. The technology makes things become obsolete. Not the free market and how things are funded. The technology of green energy is always going to make it stupid to use this kind of fuel source over time. Slowly but surely. Technology drives the market and if you don't think the majority of people see the benefit of clean energy I don't know exactly what to tell you. They voted for Biden knowing what he was going to do. This isn't a surprise.
