and not let $1m difference in salary change who we go after. If Strong is the best candidate and it takes $4m, we will pay it. If someone else is better and we can get them for $2.5m or $3m, we will not be stupid and overpay them. We will not go all the way to the top, ie $5m, but most coaches are on the table at $4m here.
