#1 UNC falls to Pitt 5-4, will not advance to ACC tourney semis

DURHAM, N.C. — No. 12 seed Pittsburgh beat No. 1 seed North Carolina 5-4 Wednesday to sweep Pool A and earn a spot in the ACC Tournament semifinals Saturday.

The Tar Heels (37-18) will play Georgia Tech at 3 p.m. Friday in a game that does not have any further ramifications in the conference tournament.
