Listen Dr. Phil, this isn’t the place to try to conduct your sensitivity training. Run along back to your safe space. So much hatred, Ryan. Try to pull yourself out, please.

...and the mike drops.I actually feel bad for you guys who read a tweet with no sources quoted and take it as gospel. According to the FL Department of Health this is completely false. Take a look at page 3, Figure 4 which captures all IF related pneumonia deaths in the link referenced below. The state averages 250 - 300 deaths per week over the last 4 years. We're in Week 22 which means about 5,500 IF related pneumonia death so far which again is average over the last 4 years and exactly in line this year as well.

Figure 4: In week 18 (ending 5/2/20), the number of pneumonia and influenza deaths identified statewide decreased and was similar to levels observed at this time in previous seasons. Of note, the query used to capture these data now excludes pneumonia associated with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) to better capture influenza death trends in Florida.
@MikeJW would love to hear your follow-up to this information.
